I'm not sure if I ever heard death metal this edgy and simultaneously 'catchy' before. The remarkable riffs go straight into the ear and stay there although the brain refuses to process at first because there's do much going on. Quirky, brutal, ambitious and absolutely fresh and fantastic! mourner

If you dig the old school sound of NY styled DM, then you should not delay: check out this compilation LP and demo EPs from 1991-1995! Deathrune was one of the lesser known bands from the active New York Death Metal scene in the early 90's. Musically they bring to mind Incantation, Immolation, Baphomet and perhaps Mortician's EPs, playing the typical NY-style dark Death Metal. They disbanded in the mid 90's and ex-members have since gone onto more successful bands (though not always better). xhrl_
