Desolator have the distinction of creating music that should appeal to any fan of the various death metal sub genres. You’re going to find both brutal (Adversarial Doctrine) and melodic (Methods of Self-deception) tracks; the album has an old school feel while not really falling into OSDM worship. The technical aspect is by no means central, but tech death fans should appreciate the riff craft on display (Creatures of Habit). I even got a Sepultura vibe from the drums on the last track.

That's how I love my OSDM. It's like Dawn of Disease, Dismember, Entombed, and Bloodbath molested a female zombie and gave birth to Revolting. Boss HM2 buzzsaw + melodic lines = perfection. Even inspiring.
