Metallurgical Fire Everybody is putting Tomb Mold at the top of the death metal pile this year, and while their record is great I think that Desecresy might nab that spot on my list. It’s definitely their best. I’m pretty sure this is the heaviest album of 2019 at least. Favorite track: Fringes of Existence.

Niz Top tier Finnish Death Metal, with genius production, creating dense textures that leave the listener entombed in ominous walls of sound. This is a superb record with an otherworldly atmosphere that is totally mesmerising!

I’ll be sure to praise it for them down to the moment I’m consumed by the endless black swamp that is Towards Nebulae. This is what happens when your band makes a pact with forces deeper and darker than the Devil. Desecresy never disappoint!

Marcus vL-W Desecresy continue their slow inexorable sonic decomposition. This album has most in common with the Mortal Horizon, but is overall a more engaging listen. Inhuman, devoid of warmth, echoing with the unthinking malevolence of abyssal bacteria. Great stuff.

Brutalist_Receptacle If you took a stack of amps and pedals covered in bloody caveman fur and infected barbed wire and fed it to a ravenous electric gatorwulf, and tracked that electric wolfgator through swamps of bile, and collecting its spoor in order to spread it on putrid seed bread, well, that is what this joint tastes like.
